Exec says Rosoboronexport signs 1,500 contracts each year

MOSCOW, Jul 26 (PRIME) -- Russian arms exporter Rosoboronexport signs 1,500 contracts each year, Deputy CEO Sergei Goreslavsky told reporters on Wednesday.

“We have been signing 1,5000 contracts each year for the past several years. So, we sign several contracts each day,” he said, adding that the order portfolio grew to U.S. $42 billion in 2016 from $10.7 billion in 2001.

He also said that about 65% of orders from foreigners come as a result of marketing measures, and 10% of orders come from targeted marketing transforming into firm orders. “These statistics are good, but we can do better,” he said.
